Week of September 3, 2018:

Dear middle school students and families:

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year at St. John School! I very much look forward to working with all of the 7th and 8th graders again, and I’m excited to be meeting the 6th graders and some of their families. Here are a few things to keep in mind during the first week of school:

  • As I’m sure you know, the first floor of the main school building is being renovated; construction work will occur during school hours. Areas of the school that were formerly open to students are closed until after the new year. Please remember, if it’s behind a chain link fence or a wall, don’t go there.
  • General guidelines for middle school science can be found on the sidebar to the left. Please take a few moments to read these.
  • On the first day of school, Wednesday, September 5, we’ll dismiss at 12:00.
  • If you are in 7th or 8th zero period math, classes will begin at 7:40 on Thursday, September 6. (Please be prepared to do some academic work that day.)

Again, I’m very excited to be working with you this year; see you on Wednesday.

Thank you,

Sven Tice
