Week of November 5:

Doing well at Blanchet’s 45th annual math contest.

Hello middle school students and families:

  • Congratulations to those students who participated in the math contest at Bishop Blanchet High School. Two students placed in the top five individually, and St. John placed third as a team among the 17 schools that participated. Good work, students!
  • 7th and 8th graders, your formal proposal for your science inquiry project is due on Tuesday, November 6. Typically, about a third of students forget to have this available to me on the due date. I’m hopeful things will go more smoothly this year.
  • Thank you to those 6th graders who have already submitted their classification projects. If you haven’t already done so, please email your projects to me by Tuesday evening.
  • Students and teachers, please take a moment to review PowerSchool at least once a week; it’s a quick and easy way to monitor your progress in all classes.
  • Parent-teacher-student conferences resume on Monday, November 5. Students are expected to attend these conferences with their parents and teacher(s).

Have a great week,

Sven Tice
