December 18, 2017 to January 2, 2018:

Merry Christmas, middle school students and families!

  • I am very sorry, but I have managed to fall several days behind in my grading this week. I will not be able to catch up until well into the break. If you have turned something in and it still shows as missing or does not show at all, please assume that all is well until January 3. I apologize for the inconvenience.
  • School resumes on Wednesday, January 3.
  • 7th and 8th graders, your research paper is due on January 12. Please do not wait until the last moment to begin work on this relatively important assignment.

I hope everyone has a safe, joyous and restful Christmas break,

Sven Tice

Week of December 11, 2017:

Hello middle school students and families:

  • 6th graders, you have a test on microbiology on Friday, December 15. Be sure to prepare for this!
  • 7th and 8th graders, you should have begun work on your research paper for your inquiry project.
  • While preparing for awards for the first trimester, I noticed (not for the first time this year) a somewhat shocking number of missed assignments, particularly among the 8th graders. Students, I strongly encourage you to stay on top of your work, and to check PowerSchool regularly.

Have a good (and hopefully productive) week,

Sven Tice

Week of December 4, 2017

Hello middle school students and families:

  • Advent starts this week. In observance of this important part of the liturgical year, students and staff will gather in the church at the start of the day every Monday until Christmas. Be sure to head to the church immediately upon arrival at school on Mondays.
  • 8th grade zero period algebra I students have an exam on Monday, December 4.
  • 7th and 8th graders, start thinking about your research papers for your inquiry projects. The completed research paper is due on January 12, 2017.
  • Sadly, Dr. Crowther has just about completed his student teaching semester with us. His formal teaching duties have ended, and his last day with us will be Friday, December 8. If you have any work that needs to be submitted to him, please do it by Friday of this week.

Have a good week,

Sven Tice
