Exploring the visible light spectrum

Hello middle school students and families:

  • 8th graders, if you are doing an engineering project for the science fair, and you have not yet submitted your discussion of your final design choice, please do so this week.
  • Also, 8th graders, you have a unit exam on wave energy on February 28.
  • All 7th and 8th graders need to give me the procedure for their science fair project on Wednesday, February 22.
  • 7th graders began working on astronomy last week; so far we all seem to be having a nice time….
  • 6th graders, the earth science unit is winding down this week. You will have a unit exam on earth science on Friday, February 24 (that’s next week).
  • As I’m sure all of us know, mid-winter break starts this week. School will be dismissed at noon on Thursday, and will convene again next Wednesday.

I wish all of you a productive, happy week and a restful break,

Sven Tice

Week of February 6, 2017:

Hello middle school students and families:

  • Zero period Algebra I students were scheduled to have a test on quadratic equations on Tuesday, February 7, but we’re not quite ready yet. The test will be moved back to Thursday, February 9.
  • 8th graders who are doing an engineering project for the the science fair need to submit a statement which describes which of their original design alternatives they’ve decided to pursue; this includes a 3-5 sentence rationale for this choice. These are due this Friday, February 10.
  • All 7th and 8th graders need to submit a procedure (or a design, for the engineers) for their science fair projects on February 22.
  • 6th graders will have a test on earth science on Friday, February 24.

Have a good week, and stay warm and dry these next few days!
