Christmas Break, through January 2, 2017

Hello middle school students and families:

I hope you are enjoying the Christmas break so far, and are finding some time to catch your breath and enjoy your family and friends. Here are some things to remember as we move into the second half of the school year:

  • Classes resume on Tuesday, January 3. (Zero period algebra I will meet at the regular time on that date.)
  • 7th and 8th graders, your research papers are due on January 9. The research paper needs to be related to the topic of your science fair project. It should be at least three pages, typed, double-spaced,¬† and include a bibliography and internal documentation¬†formatted in APA style. See my science fair resources page for specific guidelines and information.
  • 6th graders, you don’t have to do anything major before classes resume, other than to make sure you remember what the theory of plate tectonics is all about.

Once again, I wish all of you a joyful, fun and restful break. Merry Christmas and a happy new year,

Sven Tice
