Exploring the visible light spectrum in 8th grade science.

Hello middle school students and families; we have another fairly busy week ahead of us, especially in science:

  • 6th graders are learning about earthquake-resistant building design features, and are working on their own designs this week. Completed structures are due on Thursday.
  • 7th and 8th graders, the procedure for your science fair projects are now due on Wednesday, February 17. That’s the day we get back from mid-winter break. If you’re going to be traveling over that long weekend, that means you’ll need to get it done this week.
  • 8th graders are continuing to explore the nature of the electromagnetic spectrum this week.
  • 7th graders start the week learning about tools astronomers use, and then we’ll switch to the planets of our solar system.
  • In algebra I, we’ll continue working on quadratic equations.

Have a great week, and enjoy your long (and well-deserved) mid-winter weekend,

Sven Tice
